Separated Families Met Three Times Yesterday

99 visitors from Southern separated families identified blood relations with Northern families by meeting them three times at Mt. Geungang on 29th like personal level meeting and group lunch, etc.

Separated families had talks and exchanged photos and gifts in personal meeting, which proceeded in the room of Mt.Geumgang Inn where Southern visitors stayed during their visit to the North.

Ms. Lee Boo-Ja (62) who visited the North on behalf of Ms.Uh Byeong –Soon (93) who passed away on 26th, prayed for the deposed with her sister Ms. Shin-Hoo (66) of the North in front of mother`s portrait with offerings like apple and yellow walleye which Korea Red Cross provided.

In group lunch, Ms.Kim Aa-ran (79), wife of Mr.Choi Won-Mo (92), crew of Poongbok, who was kidnapped to the North in 1967, requested showing photograph of her husband, ¡°please tell me, whether he is alive or not¡°.

Mr.Kim received message from the North on identification of survival of separated families on this fourth meeting of separated family, ¡° it is impossible to identify whether your husband is alive or not¡°.

Visitors from the South had good time with Northern families in Guryong-yeon in Mt. Geumgang in the afternoon.

They will return back to the South on 30th at harbor Sok-Cho.
