Related Persons of Press Tax Dodging Will Be Summoned

The Seoul District Prosecution Office revealed its schedule yesterday to summon the related persons of the press tax evasion from next week.

A related prosecution official said, ``The Prosecution Office will summon to question the persons in charge of the taxation matters in the Donga Ilbo, the Chosun Ilbo, the Kukmin Ilbo, whose owners are also charged with tax dodging in addition to their corporations. And other newspapers, only whose corporations are lodged, will probably be summoned from this weekend.``

The Prosecutors will summon the persons in charge of finance to carry out a general investigation on the sources of money, its flow, and the its usage.

The Prosecution Office set up a plan to review the files from the National Tax Service and decide the list of the persons to be summoned in this week.

A source from the Prosecution said that ``since the charges of the press, only whose corporations are lodged, are relatively simple to examine, the investigation on those press companies will be carried out in advance.``
