Possible Resumption of Inter-Korean Dialogue Before 6.15

A high official of Cheong Wa Dae said yesterday that the government level contacts might begin before the 1st anniversary of the 6.15 joint South-North Declaration. He said, ``there will be a progress even though it might not be the celebration of the 1st anniversary of the 6.15. I don¡¯t exactly know how but there is a real progress.``

His remarks anticipate the pending resumption of the Inter-Korean dialogue, which is currently suspended. Since North Korea unilaterally cancelled the 5th South-North minister-level meeting, which was scheduled on March 13, the dialogue between the two Koreas has been suspended.
