Judo-Wrestling Two Golds in a Row

Korea continued the golden march in Judo and Wrestling at the 3rd East Asian Games in Osaka, Japan. But soccer failed to move on the final, defeated in the shootout by Japan.

Yoon Dong-Sik (Korea Racing Association) and Cho In-Chul(Yong-In University) won the gold medals in the Men`s Judo. Baik Jin-Gook, Moon Eui-Jae (both, Samsung Life Insurance), and Jang Jae-Sung (Korea National Housing Corporation) added three gold medals in the Men`s Wrestling Free Style.

Yoon Dong-Sik won the `one point` victory over Yajaki Yuta of Japan with the technique of sweeping the opponent`s ankle just 43 seconds after the beginning of the match, in the Men`s Judo final of the 90 kg category.

And Cho In-Chul won the victory over Chen Chan Ning of Taiwan by the `decision` in the 81 kg category. This is his second gold medal in the East Asian Games.

In the Men`s Wrestling Free Style, Baik Jin-Gook, Jang Jae-Sung, and Moon Eui-Jae added the gold medals to the Korean Team without losing a single match.

But the Korean soccer team failed to advance to the final by losing (3-4) in the shootout after the tie (1-1) at the regulation and extra times in the semifinal with Japan.

Meanwhile, the Men`s volleyball and Men`s handball came closer to the gold medal by respectively defeating Macao and China.
