The second Jeonju International Film Festival will open on Apr. 27 and run through to May 3 at eight different locations in the capital city of North Cholla Province.
The Jeonju festival was inaugurated last year under the slogan of ``digital movies`` with the aim of offering a differentiated program from the Pusan International Film Festival and the Puchon International Fantastic Film Festival. To add to the uniqueness of the Jeonju event, there will be a special program entitled ``radical cinema.``
Eleven European movies will be shown, including ``The Chinese Girl`` by Jean-Luc Godard and films by Jean Pierre Torn and Chris Marke.
Ticket reservations can be made from Saturday at www.jiff.or.kr or by calling 1588-1555. The admission fee is 4,000 won, except for the opening and closing works (8,000 won) and midnight special (10,000 won).
