A movie train, ``Cine Train 2001,`` on Seoul Subway No. 3 went into operation at 2 p.m. Friday in a ceremony at Kyongbokkung Station. The special train runs between Kyongbokkung and Seoul National University of Education stations.
The movie train, introduced as part of subway cultural arts programs, will be operated 10 times a day until May 31.
Under the theme of ``Life, Reminiscence and Movie,`` 10 trains will turn into ``History Hall of Korean Movies,`` ``Hall of Action Movies,`` ``Animation Hall,`` and others. Famous scenes from movies will be shown on liquid crystal display (LCD) monitors.
In the trains are displayed various materials introducing the old movies, still pictures and posters. Wax dolls of famous actors and movie properties are also shown.
The Seoul Metropolitan Subway Corporation will hold previews of movies every Saturday and Sunday during the operational period Kyongbokkung Station and hold autograph sessions by top stars for their fans.
