The government will donate $50,000 in cash and $50,000 worth of emergency relief goods to El Salvador to help it cope with the effects of a powerful earthquake, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade said.

The ministry added that the Korean diplomatic mission, three Korean-invested factories including Daewoo Corp., and some homes owned by Korean residents there suffered minor damages. No Korean casualties were reported.
