Actor Park Jung-Hun will go to Hollywood

Park Jung-Hun, one of Korea¡¯s top actors, will star in a Hollywood blockbuster titled, ¡°The Truth About Charlie,¡± to be directed by Jonathan Demme, who won the Academy Award for ¡°The Silence of the Lambs.¡±

¡°I heard from director Lee Myung-Se, now staying in the United States, in early December last year that Demme offered to cast me, and I met Demme and producer Peter Sharf in Paris on Dec. 22 and had detailed discussions,¡± Park said Thursday in a press conference at the Seoul Plaza Hotel. ¡°What is left now is just to sign the contract.¡±

¡°The Truth About Charlie,¡± a US$50 million movie, is a remake of the 1963 movie ¡°Charade,¡± featuring Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn. It is a mystery thriller about the whereabouts of about US$10 million of the money for the U.S. Department of Defense.
