First inter-Korean trade union talks planned on Mt. Kumkang

The Korean Confederation of Trade Unions (KCTU) and the Federation of Korean Trade Unions (FKTU) will dispatch delegates to the historic meeting with the representatives from the North Korea Chosun Trade Confederation to hold an unprecedented unification dialogue from Monday to Thursday on Mt. Kumkang.

The South Korean delegation which will consist of 18 from the KCTU and 15 from the FKTU, a total of 33, will undergo a briefing session on Monday for their visit to North Korea and will board the ship at 5 p.m., Bongnae, for their journey to Mt. Kumkang.

However, the chairman of KCTU Dan Byung-Ho and the chairman of FKTU Lee Nam-Soon will not lead the delegation as the extraordinary session of the National Assembly is scheduled to discuss and decide on the Labor Standard Law beginning on Monday.
