Foreign media visit president¡¯s prison cell

These days, many foreign journalists are reporting on the patient cell No. 7 (1.742 pyong) of Chongju Prison in North Chungchong Province, where President Kim Dae-Jung, who had received a death sentence by the military court with an offense against the nation's safety, was imprisoned from Jan. 31, 1981, through Dec. 16, 1982.

Recently, Britain's TWI TV, which has an exclusive right to feature Nobel Prize winners, and another TV station visited the cell, which was restored to its original condition when Kim was imprisoned. Also, Tokyo Shimbun is expected to cover the cell soon.
