With Korea and Japan¡¯s joint hosting of the 2002 World Cup on the horizon, a Korea Super Expo introducing Korean industry, technology and culture will be held Thursday at the Big Site Exhibition Center in Tokyo. Japan will also hold a similar large-scale exhibition in Seoul next year and until 2002, a total of three such events will be staged by each nation. The Korea Super Expo will run until Dec. 4.
The exhibition site will have a Theme Plaza with video presentations and Korea-Japan exchange events, a Dream World showing state-of-the-art technologies from 126 Korean companies, including Samsung Electronics and Pohang Iron & Steel Co. At both outside and inside venues, popular singers such as Y2K, Jaurim and Babyvox will perform alongside traditional concerts and fashion shows.
There will also be a stall where traditional Korean foodstuffs such as kimchi, ginseng and mushrooms will be displayed.
