U.S. investors to visit N. Korea

A consortium of U.S. investors has revealed a plan visit North Korea next month for investment assessment.

Chairman of the American Chamber of Commerce of Korea Jeffery Jones spoke at the KBS Sisa Focus event and said that the consortium of American businessmen were making plans to visit North Korea to assess investment possibilities.

Chairman Jones added that they would come together in Seoul and make their way to Pyongyang some time next week. He further stated that the business consortium mostly was interested in the consumer product market and would assess the agricultural technology, the medical and parts production capability of North Korea.

Jones revealed that following the assessment, the first phase of investment could start as early as the middle of next year.
