In the Hyundai away game with Doosan at Chamsil Ballpark, Chung allowed 10 hits, five walks and six runs for seven innings, but he earned the victory thanks to his batters. He was 18-6 this season, tying with his teammates Lim Sun-Dong and Kim Su-Kyung, and he continued his winning streak of seven games. Chung, who turned pro in 1992, recorded his 100th win in 216 games. He is the 15th pitcher to achieve the milestone. Hyundai came from behind to beat Doosan, 7-6.

Meanwhile, the SK Wyverns bagged a double-header against the Lotte Giants, who were struggling with the LG Twins for leadership of their league.

Lotte, which placed first in the Magic League past LG, went down to second place overnight, heralding a fierce pennant race with LG to earn a playoff berth.
