The World Cyber Game Challenge, which will be officially launched this Saturday at Yongin Everland, will see 180 gamers from 17 nations compete with each other. The event, to be held until Oct. 15, is a prelude to the world's first game Olympics, the 'World Cyber Game Competition,' and hence prominent game companies and game developers are expected to participate.

With the main competition beginning on Oct. 8, the games to be played include Star Craft, Quake III, Age of Empires II and FIFA 2000. In order to advance the domestic game industry, Fortress II will be an exhibition game. During the competition, North Korean software and games, as well as local and foreign game characters, will be exhibited. The competition schedule and player profiles can be found at the WCGC official homepage (www.worldcybergames.org), and the games will be broadcast live on internet broadcasting site www.ggtv.net.
