Work starts on restoring inter-Korean railway

Ground was broken today at a cerempny held near Imjingak to start work on reconnecting the Seoul-Sinuiju rail line across the demilitarized zone. As a locomotive bearing the placard "Race ahead, iron horse, carrying the cherished wishes of the people!" began moving on a short 20-odd-meter stretch up to Imjingak Bridge, guests and spectators, foreign as well as Korean, descended on the scene to take pictures of the historic event.
