Chung Bu-Kyung, who is competing in men¡¯s 60kg judo in the 2000 Sydney Olympics, missed his chance at a gold medal.
In the men¡¯s 60kg-judo final, Chung fought against Tadahiro Nomura of Japan at the Sydney exhibition hall on Sept. 16. Only 14 seconds into the match, Chung was counterattacked by Nomura when he made his move and missed the gold medal.
Chung had a gold medal in mind when he competed in the final but could not overcome the final obstacle.
