Soccer player An joins Italian team

South Korean soccer player An Jung-Hwan, dubbed ¡°Terrius¡± for his handsome appearance, on Thursday joined the Italian Serie A-side, Perugia.

An signed a contract with Perugia in a ceremony at a downtown hotel in Perugia with the team¡¯s CEO Alessandro Gaucci, Lee Byung-Kee, president of Busan Icons of the K-League and Ahn Jong-Bok, former Daewoo Royales, predecessor of the Icons, attending.

As agreed, An will receive a yearly salary of US$450,000, including special allowances, and the Italian team will pay US$400,000 in rental fees for one year to the Busan Icons.

An is the first Korean soccer player to join a team in Italy`s major league.
