Free academic data going online

The Korea Education and Academic Information Center is offering free use of its Internet site on various academic information, including theses for degrees at home and abroad. The free service will start July 25 at http://www.riss4u.net, the center announced Monday. Users have access to about 20,000 degree theses for 19 universities such as Seoul National, Sogang, Kunkuk, Taejon and Chonan universities, 16,000 original copies of doctoral theses, a list of 22 million items at 155 universities and colleges, and 3.6 million academic annuals, periodicals and others.
