LG Electronics robotic vacuum cleaner Home-Bot that threw away a thief has been the talk of the town in Israel. Its home guard function with security camera is also getting a lot of attention.

According to LG Electronics on Sunday, its robotic vacuum cleaner helped keep its customer’s home safe. Kobi Ozer, who lives in the Israel city of Holon, received several pictures on his mobile phone while working in his office. It was his Home-Bot that detected the movement in an empty house, took the pictures and sent them to the owner. The photos showed a thief who broke into his house looking in every nook and corner. The startled Ozer immediately called the police and neighbors, which led to no damages or theft.

The story became known as Ozer called the LG Electronics Service Center for a thank you message, saying that the sound of taking pictures by the robotic cleaner scared the thief away. It has become a big talk as Israeli TV shows “Economic Show” and “Avril Gilad Morning Show” reported the story.
