Classics Reimagined series published in Korea

The "Classics Reimagined” series, classical novels with paintings by famous illustrators who interpreted them in a fresh perspective, has been published in Korea by Swing Band.

It is the Korean edition of “Classics Reimagined” published by Rockport Publishers and the series includes Grimm’s Fairy Tales, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes.

Grimm’s Fairy Tales contains fantastic illustrations by Yann Legendre of France. Italian illustrator Olimpia Zagnoli used strong colors and geometric patterns for the Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

American illustrator Andrea D'Aquino showed poetic watercolor paintings in Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Sophia Martineck from Germany painted witty and detailed paintings for certain scenes in The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes. “Readers can have a fresh approach to classics through unique paintings by famous illustrators,” said Lee Soo-eun, the CEO of Swing Band.
