`Learn how to putt` vs. `Will you get a life first`

Lee Westwood, a former No. 1 ranking male golfer, is a star golfer but has sorrows. He won 22 times in European tour, twice in U.S. PGA, altogether 39 times in various professional games. But he has yet to grasp a chance in a major competition. He ran first until the third round in the British Open this year only to be beaten by Phil Mickelson in the final round.

At the PGA Championships that ended Sunday, he played a sluggish 6-over par at the final day, finishing tied for 33rd.

On Monday, he outburst at his Twitter account. According to U.K. Daily Mail on Wednesday, Westwood raged over a fan`s posting. When asked to "learn how to putt," he responded from Twitter account by saying: "Will you get a life first." Westwood got more criticism by others and defended himself with a number of tweets, several of which included foul language.

However, Westwood later moved to calm the waters, saying, "Sincere apologies to my sponsors and true followers for my earlier comments. It was out of order and out of character."

Westwood said early this year he would stop social networking conversation because of flourishing bad words. Yet he was in trouble again.
