Left is an old family picture of 59-year-old Chinese lawyer Zhang Hongbing who had his mother executed during the Chinese Cultural Revolution by accusing her as a counter-revolutionary. Zhang is second from the right, standing next to his father. His mother Fang Zhongmou is second from the left, sitting on a chair. She was 44 when she was killed. Right is a latest picture of Zhang who used to fervently support the Red Guard to the extent that he changed his name meaning a red soldier. Zhang recently showed repentance for his sin against natural conscience in public, which he committed 43 years ago.
