Samsung chairman lives in the priciest house in Seoul

Samsung Group Chairman Lee Kun-hee’s house in Itaewon-dong, Yongsan-gu has become the most expensive house in Seoul, surpassing Chosun Ilbo President Bang Sang-hoon’s in Heukseok-dong, which was ranked as the priciest house last year. Lee and his families own top five most expensive houses in Seoul based on the official housing prices.

According to the 2013 official housing prices in Seoul released by the Seoul metropolitan government Tuesday, the official price of Lee’s house rose to 13 billion won (11.7 million U.S. dollars), increased by 1.2 billion won (1.09 million dollars) from last year. His house has three underground floors and two above-ground floors with a total floor area of 2,143 square meters (net floor area of 961 square meters).

Shinsegae Group President Chung Yong-jin’s house, which is located in Baekhyeon-dong, Bundang, has recorded as the most expensive in Seongnam City of Gyeonggi Province worth 8.25 billion won (7.47 million dollars), followed by LS Group Chairman Koo Ja-yeol’s house in Unjoong-dong worth 6.66 billion won (6.03 million dollars).
