Stock market says adieu for 2012

Employees of the Korea Exchange on Friday cheer while throwing confetti in a ceremony in Seoul to close the stock and derivatives market for the year. The Korea Composite Stock Price Index, or KOSPI, closed the year up 8.9 percent from the beginning of this year, with the aggregate value of shares gaining 112 trillion won (104.9 billion U.S. dollars).
