Drought ends, flood fears begin

With the beginning of the annual monsoon season in Korea, farmers in South Jeolla Province uninstall sprinklers set up to water a drought-ridden barren pea patch. The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast a downpour of more than 150 millimeters that will gradually stop from Friday. Hot and humid weather of 30 degrees Celsius is also predicted for the weekend.
