Police hotline to help female teachers control school violence

Police hotline to help female teachers control school violence

The National Police Agency will establish a hotline for female teachers if they experience trouble controlling school violence. Many such teachers encounter difficulty guiding male students, who are often big in size and rebellious.

A senior police official said Wednesday that due to reports that certain teachers are turning a blind eye to school violence, police will launch a system that police officers will be dispatched with a phone call.

Police officers will be dispatched to a school when a teacher calls for help if student violence is deemed serious enough to cause fear among fellow students, and if the teacher finds it difficult to control the situation. A system will be implemented on a trial basis by the end of April.
