Ruling Grand National Party Chairman Hong Joon-pyo says Tuesday that Kim Jung-gwon has been appointed the party’s new secretary-general at a news conference at the party headquarters in Yeouido, Seoul. Behind him is the phrase “Cheokdangbulgi (one has determination and good will to prevent being overwhelmed by others),” his favorite maxim he has used since his days as a prosecutor.
