Wishing for peace

The Year of the Tiger in the Chinese zodiac draws to an end. This year, inter-Korean tension peaked due to North Korea’s sinking of the South Korean naval vessel Cheonan and artillery attack on Yeonpyeong Island. Stars in the night sky of Yeonpyeong seem to console the pain of the island residents on the day of the attack. South Koreans hope that 2011, the Year of the Rabbit, brings peace on the Korean Peninsula through heightened national security.
