Fifty-five soldiers including Captain Choi Won-il, who survived the sinking of the South Korean naval vessel Cheonan, pay tribute Friday to the 46 crewmen killed in the incident at the National Cemetery in Daejeon. The vessel sank after being hit by a North Korean torpedo near Baengnyeong Island on March 26. Saying they have never forgotten the soldiers` sacrifice over the past nine months, the surviving crew promised to protect national waters.
