Some 300 French employees of the German industrial conglomerate Siemens hold a “ghost town” protest in downtown Saint-Chamond Thursday against the planned closure of a Siemens factory in the French city. Shopkeepers also closed their businesses in solidarity with the protesters. The protestors` masks reading “Siemens kills jobs” and their black attire suggests that the factory closure will turn the city into a ghost town.
