Both the ruling and opposition parties agree yesterday to put the disputed media reform bill to a vote in the regular parliamentary session in June after discussion under a “social framework” for 100 days. The ruling Grand National Party changed its mind several times. It opposed the opposition party’s demand to adopt the framework at first, but later accepted. Ruling party floor leader Hong Joon-pyo explains the outcome of discussions to ruling party lawmakers in the main chamber of the National Assembly.
