Chelsea FC’s star striker Didier Drogba has received a three-game suspension for throwing a coin back at Burnley fans last week.

The incident occurred Thursday last week at Stamford Bridge in a Carling Cup fourth-round match between Chelsea and Burnley.

Drogba had scored the game’s first goal in the 27th minute and celebrated in front of Burnley fans, when one of them threw a coin on the pitch. Drogba then threw it back into the stands.

The referee did not see this and gave Drogba a yellow card for celebrating in front of away fans. After the game, however, Burnley fans filed a complaint with the Football Association of England, which led to the suspension.
