No Sign of Parliamentary Effort

The parliamentary probe on the economy resumes yesterday after the ruling and opposition parties agree to investigate Strategy and Finance Minister Kang Man-soo’s slip of the tongue. Very few lawmakers attended the hearing at the National Assembly, however. Critics have blamed the irresponsible attitude of lawmakers who show neither remorse over the collapse of the parliamentary probe nor any willingness to find methods to tide over the global financial crisis.
