Myanmar people who have lost their homes and livelihoods by tropical cyclone Nargis await emergency relief on Wednesday. Myanmar`s military government, which refused aid from international organizations on fears of subversion, has allowed the United Nations to deliver medical supplies and other emergency aid directly to the devastated areas. However, U.N. officials say that people will be able to receive relief this weekend at the earliest. Reports estimate that some 100,000 lost their lives as of Thursday due to the deadly cyclone.
