A day after the torch was lit in Olympia, Greece for the Beijing Olympics, some 50 exiled Tibetans began a torch relay of their own, starting from Dharamshala, India, where the Tibetan government-in-exile is based. The torch is called, The Tibet Independence Torch, and will go to the U.S., France, Australia, and Japan by air and by land before arriving in Lhasa, the capital of the Tibet Autonomous Region, on Aug. 8, the same day that the Beijing Olympics starts.
