Heavy Storms Soak Europe

Rescue workers (left) yesterday cross water to an isolated car in Hampshire, England. Storms with winds of 130 kilometers per hour engulfed southern England, tossing trees and power poles into the air. On the same day, a storm at sea overwhelmed a town in western France. The storm also forced aground a Dutch cargo ship on the Vendee region of France`s west coast.
