The South Korean government suggested the first prime-ministerial meeting with the North be held from November 14 to 16. The two Koreas included plans for such a meeting in the 2007 Summit Declaration.
A source from the government said, President Roh Moo-hyun held a second discussion on the implementation of the 2007 Summit Declaration on October 19. The participants reached an agreement on the overall schedule, and called on the North to propose a date.
The government designated Prime Minister Han Duck-soo as the head of the delegation, and members will include heads from the Ministry of Finance and Economy, Unification, and Commerce, Industry, and Energy.
