The South Korean men’s and women’s archery teams succeeded in advancing to the 2008 Beijing Olympics in all six categories (three for each). But the competition was more difficult than expected.

Six South Korean male and female athletes successfully advanced to the round of 16 yesterday in the 44th Outdoor Archery World Championships held in Leipzig, Germany. By doing so, they qualified to participate in the upcoming Olympics. But in the men’s singles, only one of the Korean shooters, Lim Dong-hyeon, moved up to the semifinals. Likewise, Park Seong-hyeon was the only woman to advance to the semifinals.
