National Memorial Day

On Wednesday, Korea’s national Memorial Day, some 25,000 people from the Korea Veterans Association and Christian groups rallied at Seoul Plaza in front of Seoul City Hall, calling for nuclear renunciation by North Korea and the peaceful reunification of the two Koreas. “The government should pressure North Korea and strengthen the Korea-U.S. alliance to make North Korea abandon its nuclear ambitions,” they demanded, waving the taegukgi, the Korean national flag, and the American flag.
