Bukak Mountain (or Baekak Mountain, Historic and Scenic Place No. 10) opened its doors on April 5, 39 years after its close in the aftermath of the January 21 Surprise Attack on Cheong Wa Dae by armed North Korean infiltrators in 1968. Areas to be opened are the Changuimun (Northwest Gate), Baekak Floor, Sukjeongmun Gate (North Gate), and Waryong Park (Hongryeon Temple), which cover the total castle wall of Seoul (4.3 kilometers long). Pictured is the castle wall of Seoul as seen around Cheongundae.
