Pak Se-ri (30, CJ) is on the verge of completing the Career Grand Slam.

Pak hit a 2-under 70 in the third round of the season’s first LPGA major competition, the Kraft Nabisco Championship, held at the Mission Hills Country Club (par 72) in Rancho Mirage, California on April 1, ranking first with Suzann Pettersen from Norway at 4-under 212.

A career Grand Slam means that a player has won all of the four LPGA Tour majors. In the LPGA’s 57-year history, only six players have achieved this: Louise Suggs, Mickey Wright, Pat Bradley, Juli Inkster (all four from the U.S.), Annika Sorenstam (Sweden), and Karrie Webb (Australia).

Pak has achieved a total of 23 wins in the LPGA. Among majors, she won the McDonald’s Championship and U.S. Open in 1998 and the British Open in 2001. In 2002 and 2006, she again won the cup for the McDonald’s Championship, accumulating five majors victories in three different competitions, but the Nabisco Championship is the only major event that she has failed to win. Her ranking of ninth in 2001 was the highest she has finished in the Nabisco tourney.
