Cuba Revolution

A woman passes by a wall on which the logo of the Young Communist League (UJC) is painted, on March 13, near the old Presidential Palace in Havana, Cuba. 50 years ago, chairman of UJC, José Antonio Echeverría, revolted against the dictatorial Batista regime, only to fail. Current President of the Council of State, Fidel Castro, who led another more successful revolution attempt 18 months later, didn’t appear in the memorial ceremony, despite reports that his health conditions have improved.
