Remember Leningrad

On January 27, Russian soldiers commemorated the 63rd anniversary of the lifting of the siege of Leningrad, which was surrounded and besieged by German soldiers for 872 days during the second World War. About 640,000 citizens starved to death and 17,000 were killed by bombing during the siege.
