On July 1, film people who staged protest against the reduction of screen quota at Daehakno, Jongno-gu, Seoul, raised their voice against President Roh Moo-hyun, saying, “Stop worrying about the country and leave for your hometown.” The administration enjoyed close relationship with the film industry at first, but with the reduced screen quota, relations went sour.
