Advocaat Fields Questions With Humor

Dick Advocaat has been noted to jokingly dodge sensitive questions posed by reporters. This was particularly the case when reporters gathered in Glasgow; their questions have often been answered with typical Advocaat humor. Nevertheless, let it not be said he was not throwing them a bone or two.

After arriving at Glasgow Airport on May 28, Advocaat was asked why he had chosen to bring the team to the Highlands instead of Germany where the World Cup will be held. “I told you already. I wanted to meet my ex-girlfriends,” said Advocaat. “It has a superb environment. Our guys can focus on training here,” he added.
