South American Romance

A Mexican mariachi band performs South American songs such as “Besa Me Mucho” and “La Cucaracha” in the Jonggak subway station on Seoul’s Line-1 subway on January 5. Mariachi bands are small groups of string and wind musicians who play violins, guitars, mandolins, harps, and trumpets. Invited to Korea late last year by the Mariachi Latin Culture Center, mariachi bands have performed in Seoul and Metropolitan Area subway stations.
