An official of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade announced yesterday that some of the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) aid seized in September of this year in Iraq was recently recovered in downtown Baghdad.

The official said that the Iraq Serious Crime Investigation Division recovered 84 computer monitors and other parts in a computer shopping street in Baghdad, arrested three people, and is investigating further.

“A KOICA worker in Iraq saw products with the KOICA label on them being sold on the street and asked for an investigation,” said a ministry official.

It is reported that the investigation division considers the robbery of KOICA goods to be the work of professional robbers, not Iraqi insurgents.
