A literary man of Joseon Dynasty, Lee Jeong-bo, described chrysanthemums in a poem, saying, “Mum! Why are you blooming in such cold weather after passing a warm March?” This chrysanthemum is now in full bloom on Dokdo, an isolated Korean island, and highlights the air of autumn there. Despite harsh winds and storms, the flowers survived. They now surround the island like a laurel and are making visitors speechless. The island in the background is Seodo of Dokdo.
