Kimchi Prices Rise

An increasing number of households are willing to make kimchi themselves rather than purchase it from stores after the Chinese kimchi imports were revealed to contain lead. This has sent Korean vegetable prices soaring, with the price of Korean cabbage jumping by around 10 percent compared to last month. A customer picks up Korean turnip and cabbage at a discount store in Seoul on Monday.
