Two and a half years after the participatory governments launch; an interview with President Roh Moo-hyun was aired on KBS 1TV for 100 minutes on the afternoon of August 25 and recorded a 9.6 percent viewership. The figures were compiled by AGB Nilson Media Korea.
10.9 percent of viewers in Seoul, 10.6 percent in Busan, 7.3 percent in Gwangju, and 7.0 percent in Daejeon, tuned in to KBS 1TV for this program.
Other programs that aired at the same time include Rosy Life of KBS2, Princess Lulu of SBS and Our Approaches toward Breaking up of MBC. They marked viewership percentages of 16.9 percent, 15.7 percent and 6.9 percent, respectively, placing the interview with Roh in third place.
MBCs Current Affairs Magazine 2580; a Dialogue with the President, which aired last September, was watched by 6.8 percent of viewers and KBS 1s With Roh Moo-hyun, the Presidential Elect, aired on January 18, 2003, right after his election, and recorded a 17 percent viewership.
